Promotions That Sell: How To Use Discounts, Promotions, and Coupons To Your Advantage:

How To Offer Sales, Promotions, Coupons, & Deals That Will Attract New & Loyal Customers To Your Brand While Bringing Growth & Success To Your Business. Tips Tricks and Advice For Startups Agents & Small BusinessesSales is not my fortay. I will be blatantly honest. I’m much more of a “Provide great experience” kind of woman, and while I like it that way when it comes to sales I just don’t see myself as being good at it, I’m not confident about it, and it’s definitely a weakness in my eyes but, hey we are our own worst critics so, maybe I’m over thinking this because, I’m notorious for that too but, really – Great Customer Experience – that puts me ahead of many others according to many of the clients that come to me for services, and while I love the fact that my clients value me, and take notice in everything that I do for them all to often I see clients not offering sales, promotions, and coupons to give reason to their customers to want to hit the go ahead button, and purchase right then, and there or, better yet, buy in bulk still making you the sales agent or, small business more money than you normally would.

Coupons and promotional material isn’t difficult to design. They are actually extremely easy as a matter of fact. The larger question is, is what kind of promotional package can you offer? And how effective are coupons? What’s the ROI of coupons?

What Kind Of Promotional Package Can You Offer?

The honest answer to what kind of promotional campaign can you offer is; Whatever Promotional Campaign you want to offer. EmBe Writes for example offers weekly, Bi-Weekly, and even Monthly campaigns. When I know I’m going to have a busy month I go ahead and create a monthly promotional campaign. December for example is 50% off websites, 40% off Content, 40% off Career Services and $200.00 off my Monthly Blog Management services.

While these services are unbeatable, and quite literally the lowest prices of the year I do it because, it works, and because, I know that with it being the busiest season of the year I’m not going to be able to take the time out each week to create new graphics, and promotional blog and social media posts. By creating a month long special with 1 monthly re-occuring price customers feel like they are getting a great deal, and as long as they stick with me, they get that price.

On the website, content writing, and career services front – While I’m significantly decreasing my incoming revenue it’s the season of giving, it’s the season of miracles, and it’s the season in believing and this is just my way of enabling that belief and providing affordable solutions to clients that need assistance with their websites, website content, and even their resumes simply as a way of giving back because, while this is my business I also have a very giving, service oriented heart, and am so incredibly grateful for the gifts of all of you, many who are very loyal customers and come back time and time again for whatever your needs are knowing that I will be there.

How Effective Are Coupons?

Statistics show that 41.7% of American’s make purchase decisions based on coupons in hand and offered. Therefore, when a target market customer sees that your business is offering a promotion, special, coupon or, discount on your services they are 41.7% more likely to go ahead and make the purchase. Similarly with such short attention spans and due to our keep scrolling society small businesses need to make their promotional material eye catching, attention gaining, and long lasting all at the same time. What’s the value behind your promotion, what can one expect? How long is the promotion for? Are there terms and conditions? These are all questions consumers will ask in any given market so, if you are an online retailer or online seller of either products or, services – have those terms and conditions listed in a blog post or, web page that specifically outlines the specials, and details them out fully.

Coupons are effective when you market them accordingly. Social Media channels such as Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin all have their benefits however, Pinterest and Instagram are proving to be the growth hackers of the retail, sales, and coupon industry so, if you are looking for a nice traffic increase, and want to make additional money try those two platforms above the rest. While across the board Social Media coverage and engagement is important Instagram, and Pinterest are Dominating the Business traffic industry primarily because, of Facebook’s major algorithm problems, and the rising frustration, and even disinterest in using due to the problems by businesses that once heavily promoted across the platforms. Startups – I hate to be the barrer of bad news but, this is my honest opinion from ample strategy implementations, and experience – don’t waste your time. Make the page, update it every few days but, don’t hope for a miracle on the website because, facebook isn’t allowing you to grow. Switch out to a different platform and watch as you do gain the increase in traffic that you are looking for with Pinterest, Instagram, Linkedin, and Twitter.

The ROI Of Coupons:

The Return On Investment Of Coupons Is significant. By offering Promotions, Coupons, and Website deals you are telling your consumers and clients that their budgets matter. As we come into the end of the year, budgets are tightening, and people are making last ditch efforts to spend a certain allotment of money that they have set aside for websites, marketing, content, products, and services that they can write off on their year end taxes. The same applies with the holiday season – the next 10 days are the busiest shopping days of the year. We’re all making a list, and checking it twice, wanting to find out who’s being naughty and nice….(Yeah yeah yeah – I had an inner 5 year old moment – Give me a break alright 🙂 ) Anyways, it’s true, we’re all doing it, and we’re all trying to do it as affordable as possible and that’s where Promotions, Discounts, and Coupons become extremely beneficial.

Who’s got the best quality at the most affordable price. Who’s got the best deals, and the best sales? There’s a reason anyone who shops black friday sales shops that day, and you better believe we are scrounging those Thanksgiving day newspapers, and looking at the internet trying to find the best deals after dinner Thanksgiving night. Hey, really, it’s a thing, and a tradition that I’ve been involved with since I was a little kid. So it can stay. Some traditions don’t need to fade away just evolve them over time, and make them what you need them to be in a way that works for you.

So there you have it: Promotions, Discounts, Sales, and Coupons and the Benefits of utilizing them in your business to promote your own success, and get you out of stagnation.
